Seattle

So, Mike's new position required a one week training which we thought was going to be in Minnesota. It turned out that the training was in Lakewood, WA which is only an hour from Seattle. When we found this out, we decided that this might be a chance for us to take a little trip together since the last couple months have been rather stressful. Mike left on Sunday the 18th for his training and I flew in on Friday the 22nd. It was great because we only had to pay for my ticket. We also have friends that live there and they were nice enough to let us stay with them.
Friday we just hung out and did nothing really.
Saturday we headed to Seattle with Wendy and Dan. It was nice to have them with us since they knew how to get everywhere. We went to Pike's Place Market first. I LOVE it there. They have tons of booths with fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. There are tons of little shops and of course the throwing fish :). I should have taken more pics especially one of the view, but here we are on a golden pig.

Next we went to the Pacific Science Center and saw the space needle. We didn't go up the space needle because it costs $20 per person!

That night we went ot the cheesecake factory.

Sunday we slept in, went to church and then went to Snoqualmie Falls. It is so gorgeous!

After Snoqualmie Falls we went to the temple and walked around the grounds. We also went to the cheesecake factory again :).

Monday we slept in, went to lunch and a movie and headed to the airport. It was so fun to hang out with my hubby without having to worry about anythiing for a few days. My parents were awesome and kept Cooper while we were gone. I don't even think he missed us until we came home :). We will for sure be doing more "alone" trips in the future. Our next planned trip will include Cooper. We are planning to go to San Diego with the Lemon family in September 2012. So excited!!
