This month has been a beast to say the least! I won't bore anyone with ALL the details, so here is a summary of our month.
First weekend- Mike's sisters wedding in Manti
-about 9 hours in the car
-Cooper sleeping about 4 hours the night we stayed in Manti
-total chaos
-taking pictures for 2 hours at the temple with tired, hungry children who got sunburned
=Not a pleasant weekend
Second weekend-THE BIG MOVE
We moved to Roy. It was a very stressful and emotional experience. I had lived in Logan for 11 years and was so comfortable there. Plus, I loved our ward and would have stayed in it forever. We had tried to borrow a truck to move our stuff from Mike's old work, but they are jerk faces and were totally uncooperative. Luckily, we have an awesome friend who got us an amazing deal on a truck from Enterprise. Then on the day of the move a ton of guys from our ward showed up and helped. It was amazing! It We haven't finished putting everything in there, which has been frustrating. Plus the carpets didn't looked like they had been cleaned and the apartment smells weird. We had them clean the carpets again and I have cleaned SO much. We have most everything unpacked. Just need to do a little more organizing and decorating. At this rate I may never get to it.
Third Weekend- Family Reunion
Mike's mom's family was having a family reunion this weekend. It was 3 hours from here and Mike had to work until 5 on Friday so we weren't going to go. After lots of persuasion we finally decided to go up on Saturday. So we drove 6 hours and were there for 8. The place was gorgeous. It was this huge lodge, fishing, swimming pool, climbing wall, basketball court, and lots of other stuff. We were glad to see everyone that was there and Cooper and Mike got to go swimming. We ended up not getting home until 1:30 and by the time Cooper went to sleep again it was 3 AM. Another LONG weekend.
Fourth Weekend-ZOO
This last weekend was pretty good. We went to the zoo with some awesome friends and their little boy. Cooper loved all the animals and trying to scare the gorillas. We went out to Chili's afterwards. It was so fun so spend time with friends and just do something fun. On Sunday, I was in serious pain from all the walking at the zoo, so I stayed in bed most of the day. Sunday we went to my parents to celebrate the June birthdays with a BBQ.
The in betweens-
-for the first two weeks Mike was commuting to Ogden for work and I was staying home in Logan with Cooper and working and packing
-We took our car in to have a part replaced that had been recalled and now my car isn't working right at all. It is in the shop now and they have no idea what it is.
-Mike's paycheck wasn't direct deposited and they had our address wrong, so we didn't get it for a week and a half.
-I turned 30!!
-Mike had to go to Instacare and the opthamologist for what "may have been a viral infection." Our insurance won't kick in until August and the medicine was $80 and the doctors were $180!
-We have all been sick
Positives.... Our kid is freakin' cute! He started saying shhh and putting his finger to his mouth. He has also starting folding his arms and bowing his head when it's time to eat. Mike loves his new job and I don't have to work anymore. And, we are closer to family and some friends.
I will post pics in the next post!
